In July 2015 Jackson Hole News & Guide visited R Park and published the below article “Summer Rendezvous: Visitors and residents enjoy natural ambiance of new R Park.”
Reporter Tristan Wagner observed that
kayaks circle the backside of a small island in a winding pond, while paddle boarders lay out in the afternoon sun and small children stay close to their parents in tubes along the gravel shore. The still waters of ponds are a welcome phenomenon in the valley, given that Slide, Jenny, String, Jackson and Leigh lakes require a considerable drive from town.
Jackson resident Jen Kandolin and parent of two said,
We live in town, and weather permitting, we’re here twice a week. It’s a really nice, safe place for us to have.
Visit for yourself this summer to enjoy the park’s swimming pond, island, streams, nature trails, meadow and more.
