FRIENDS of R Park

Be “R” Friend!

‘Friends’ of R Park is a group of enthusiasts who value nature as a community gathering place that is worth protecting. Our ‘Friends care greatly for the unique recreation opportunities and public open spaces that Rendezvous Park provides. Collectively, “R” Friends have a tremendous impact on R Park through their support, positive stewardship, and community vision for the park.

It was generous community partners who protected the 40 acre gravel-pit in perpetuity, ensuring its public access and added benefits to wildlife. Now, owned and stewarded by a nonprofit, R Park relies on donations, which have empowered us to reclaim over 14 acres of the desolate gravel pit into wildlife habitat and to host more than 5,000 visitors this summer.

DonateNowOur ‘Friends’ receive many benefits including invitations to special events. We invite you to become a FRIEND of R PARK to keep the park free of charge, while also growing and deepening its usage. It’s the first of its kind — a park for the community, shaped by the community, and supported by the community.
